Superficial to deep structures, brain & orbit
Product code: HP0311
-
2 Halves Region / system / unpaired organ presented in two halves.
The head, neck, thorax, axilla, and upper limb are defined as different anatomical regions, yet are interconnected and interdependent, and function as a cohesive whole. Numerous structures (e.g., muscles and neurovasculature) span between these regions and provide shared functions. This Silicone Plastinate reveals superficial and intermediate level structures on one side, and intermediate and deep level structures on the opposite side. The interconnections between regions, the functions of shared anatomy and the cross-region impact of disease (e.g. radiculopathy) are simple to visualize. The structure of the thoracic cavity is also revealed, alongside median sagittal views of the head, neck, and brain, and the triangles/regions of the neck.

- Head and neck (left or right), superior thorax, pectoral girdle, and proximal upper limbs, cut along median sagittal plane and presented as two halves.
- Superficial level structures, mainly in their anatomical positions shown on one side, and intermediate and deep level structures shown on the opposite side.
- Medial view of median sagittal section of the head, neck, and superior thorax, including the brain (cerebrum, brainstem, cerebellum) and spinal cord, surrounded by the cranial meninges.
- Veins retained (one side) and removed (opposite side) to provide clear views of underlying structures.
