Sternoclavicular joint
Product code: HP1007
-
Single Side Left or right side of a region / system / organ.
The sternoclavicular joint is the only joint between the upper limb and the axial skeleton. It permits and guides movement of the pectoral girdle, thereby increasing the overall range of motion of the upper limb. The joint is very stable due to its dense soft tissue support. This Silicone Plastinate enables the structure and alignment of the sternoclavicular joint to be visualized and explored alongside its joint capsule, associated ligaments, cavities, and articular disc.
