Male urinary & genital systems
Product code: HP1706
-
Whole Whole region / system / unpaired organ.
The male urinary and genital systems are closely related, and in places utilise the same structures. Consequently, pathology in one system can affect the other, e.g., benign prostatic hyperplasia causing urinary outflow obstruction. This Silicone Plastinate shows the component parts of the male urinary and genital systems, from kidney to penile urethra, including testicles, prostate, seminal glands (vesicles), penis and key blood vessels at the renal hilum. Uniquely, the interrelationship between the two systems is easily visualized and explored, alongside the route of travel of urine, semen or infection, and anatomy the relevant to digital rectal examination of the prostate.
