Kidneys (internal structure) & suprarenal glands

Product code: HP1611

  • Whole Whole region / system / unpaired organ.

Due to their homeostatic and endocrine functions, the kidneys and suprarenal glands have a rich arterial supply and venous drainage, a knowledge of which helps explain clinical examination, disease processes and surgical procedures. This Silicone Plastinate reveals the kidneys in an almost anatomical position, alongside the origin, course and destination of key blood vessels, including the segmentation of the renal arterial supply and the structure and highly vascular nature of the renal cortex and medulla. Uniquely, almost uninterrupted views enable deeper exploration of morphology and positional relationships and accelerate core concept acquisition.
