Male genital system & urinary bladder

Product code: HP1702

  • Whole Whole region / system / unpaired organ.

The male genital system is located mainly in the pelvic cavity and perineum, and is closely related to parts or the urinary system. In places the genital and urinary systems utilise the same structures. Consequently, pathology in one system can affect the other, e.g., benign prostatic hyperplasia causing urinary outflow obstruction. This Silicone Plastinate shows the component parts of the male genital system, including the testicles, prostate, seminal glands (vesicles) and penis. Uniquely, the relationship of the genital system with the urinary bladder and distal ureter is easily visualized and explored, alongside the route of travel of urine (distally), semen or infection.
