Whole Whole region / system / unpaired organ.
The cerebellum connects with the cerebrum, brainstem and spinal cord, via the cerebellar peduncles. The peduncles contain large numbers of afferent and efferent fibres. This Silicone Plastinate reveals the undissected structure of the cerebellum and its middle peduncle one side, and the superior and inferior cerebellar peduncles on the opposite side. The relationship of the cerebellum with the brainstem and various cranial nerves is also revealed.
