Tongue, larynx, pharynx & thyroid

Product code: HP1405

  • Whole Whole region / system / unpaired organ.

The tongue, pharynx, oesophagus, and larynx have shared functions in breathing, speech, and swallowing: their correct and co-ordinated functioning is essential for airway patency and protection. The structure and orientation of this important region is often challenging to appreciate with these structures in-situ. This Silicone Plastinate enables this complex collection of structures, their orientation, and positional relationships to be viewed from various angles. The position, morphology, and relations of regional nerves, arteries, muscles, and glands (thyroid, submandibular and sublingual) are also revealed.
